Do we park in the Galthouse parking garage? Is there a fee for that?

  • Timmy Says:

    Scott,

It depends. If your hotel is in downtown, you might prefer walking to the Galt House. It is also just one or two blocks away from the Convention Center. However, if you are driving, there is a parking garage in the Galt House just as you enter off 4th street. Yes, there is a fee, but it is not any more than what you will pay elsewhere downtown.

(I’m not sure if T4G has worked out a deal for free parking around the Convention Center or not. If so, I would go that route and walk as it would be only a matter of a few minutes to get there).

Timmy – hey man. My kids are sick and my wife is worn out. I can’t pull off the trip tomorrow – especially in light of preaching in Lville this coming Sunday. Thanks for all your work – I looked forward to meeting you in person but that will have to wait until another time of God’s appointing. If Trevin is there can you hand him my stack-o-books…I’ll see him in class on Monday. If not, no worries.

    Blessings

Do you have to registered or can u just show up?

  • Brother Hank Says:

I heard someone say today that you can park for free in the waterfront parking lot towards the river from the Galt House. I’m not sure exactly where the lot is at, but I think it’s pretty close.

I was not able to get a flight that arrives any earlier than 11:00 AM, and the hotel shuttle only runs from the airport to the Hilton every half hour. This means that – if all goes well – I will will not have a ride to the hotel until at least 11:30. And then I have to check my bag and walk to the Gault House. So it looks like I will be missing lunch altogether. I just hope I can make it for the first panel discussion at Noon. I have been looking forward to this and don’t want to miss anything.

Please pray for me and those in similar situations that we will not run into delays on such a tight schedule.

for KEITH — I just came in tonight, and took a cab (fixed rate of $18.75). I think many of the shuttles cost nearly this too (Galt House shuttle was not free). You may just want to catch a cab. Take care. dave Bissett

Great event. Thanks to Timmy B, the panelists and all involved.

  • Gretchen Says:

Timmy — Yeah, right. Why did I think I’d get away from work on a day everyone and their brother in on campus? Our store was busier today than it is at graduation.

So I missed BofB. :( Sorry. Thanks so much for the kind offer. NEXT time I will plan to take vacation days or something. I’m sure it was great, you’ll have to post about it.

For those of us who live in the outer realm of the Empire, and unable to attend, was the session with the bloggers recorded and will it be available in a MP3 download?
