Band of Bloggers

The second book being given to all who attend the 2008 Band of Bloggers is The Mortification of Sin by John Owen, donated by Banner of Truth.  As you may already know, the theme for this year’s meeting is “The Gospel Trust,” and with that in mind, it is our goal that the gospel with which we have been entrusted will be daily applied to our lives as well as the lives of others.  The giving away of this book serves two reasons: for those who don’t have it already, to read it and see the gospel at work in your own sanctification, and for those who have read it, to pass this book onto someone you want to invest your life in and read it together with them.  We are called to not only care for our own souls but also provoke one another to holiness and greater strides in sanctification.  This book, written by one of the great English-speaking theologians, is a great resource for all who have been entrusted with the gospel.
