Band of Bloggers

I’m pleased to share with you that the plans for our 4th Band of Bloggers fellowship are being finalized! I hope to announce all the details by early next week with registration for the gathering shortly following.  For those unfamiliar with Band of Bloggers, this once-a-year fellowship consists of catered lunch, guest speakers, panel discussion, and over $100 worth of free books!

I just want to take a moment and welcome all of you who are attending the 2009 Band of Bloggers fellowship, “Servants and Stewards.”  This is an exciting opportunity to network with other gospel-centered bloggers, hear from other leading bloggers, and receive a ton of free books!

Several have asked about registration.  To keep things simple, once you paid the $15 registration fee via PayPal, you were officially registered.  If you had issues with the PayPal payment process and are unsure that you are registered, come anyway as we’ll sort that out when you arrive.

The meeting will begin at noon (sharp!), so be sure to arrive early and take advantage of the opportunity to meet and greet folks you will likely not see any other time of the year.  Boxed lunches will be provided, and the presentations will start roughly around 12:30.

Unlike previous meetings, we have structured the talks so that specific issues are addressed in succinct fashion with the aim of forwarding the pursuit of greater faithfulness to Christ and fruitfulness in gospel labors.  The second half of the meeting will be an opportunity for you to ask questions to the panel, and your participation is encouraged!

We look forward to see you there this Wednesday!  May God use this gathering to stir our hearts about the glorious call of being servants of Christ and stewards of His gospel!

As you see above our header, we are keeping an online directory of gospel-centered blogs.  If you have registered and your blog is not currently in the directory, please leave a comment with your name and blog address.  If you are not able to attend this year but would like to be included in the directory, you can leave a comment as well, providing your name, blog address, and noting that you would like to be added although not participating in this year’s event.

Last week, we closed registration with the understanding that we had maxed out the 2009 Band of Bloggers fellowship. Days later, however, we realized that there we have room for 50 more attendees.  As a result, we have opened up registration until those 50 slots are filled, after which the registration will (finally) be closed.

We have filled all remaining slots for this year’s Band of Bloggers. Thank you for inquiring, and we look forward to seeing you at future Band of Bloggers fellowships in the future!
