Although he is not involved in vocational ministry, his blog has proved to impact and to minister to a large section of the evangelical world. Tim graduated with a degree in history from McMaster University, and soon thereafter moved from being an aspiring historian to a web designer and founded Websonix. Tim also manages The Discerning Reader, a wonderful collection of reviews, reading lists, and other information about Christian music and literature. The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment, Tim’s first book, is scheduled to be published by Crossway in early 2008. Commonly known as “The World’s Most Famous Christian Blogger,” Tim’s influence is a great success story of how one has used the medium of blogging for the glory of God.

abraham-piper-bob-with-border.jpgAbraham Piper is the Web Content Editor at Desiring God. He is very fortunate to be able to work from home so he can see so much of his wife and son while he edits and writes for the DG blog, which he, along with others at DG, began just over a year ago. Before working for DG he tried to finish college and didn’t make it. He has since convinced a reputable institution of higher learning to give him a degree in literature and is happy to point out that it only took 11 years and 5 colleges to finally get. He puts this extensive education to work chatting about novels and anagrams and continually trying to develop the DG blog into the most helpful and Christ-exalting blog it can be. Besides blogging for DG, he has begun regularly testing the value of extreme brevity at his brand new blog, 22 Words.
