Band of Bloggers

The seventh book given away, the second by Reformation Heritage Books, is Walking as He Walked by Joel Beeke.   Here is how Derek Thomas describes this book: “A Christ-centered tour de force which gets us into Christ’s servant heart and asks the pointed questions of what that means for us who are in union with Him. I am excited about this particular resource as we explore gospel application in our daily lives.  I want to express my gratefulness to Reformation Heritage Books for their continued support and generous contribution to the Band of Bloggers!

The fourth book being given away to all attendees is the first of two newly published books in the stack of BoB goodies.  Reformation Heritage Books has agreed to give everyone a free copy of Christ Is All: The Piety of Horatius Bonar by Michael A.G. Haykin and Darrin R. Booker.  This book is the latest release in the “Profiles in Reformed Spirituality” and includes 65 excerpts from Bonar’s writings that capture his ardent devotion to the glory of Christ.  Readers will also be interested in Haykin’s biographical introduction to Bonar, an eminent Scottish minister and poet.

I want to express my gratitude to RHB for their generous partnership with the 2008 Band of Bloggers fellowship.  Dr. Haykin will also be participating in this years’ event, so the time of fellowship would also be a great opportunity to sign books and talk about “words to winners of souls” as Bonar would have it.
